Meet Christine Dehmey, LPC

Christine Dehmey, LPC, therapist and owner of Dehmey Counseling.

At Dehmey Counseling, I believe every person's path toward healing is unique. I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can feel understood, explore your experiences, and begin making sense of the challenges you're facing. Together, we'll work toward greater self-understanding, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, and meaningful change.

I believe lasting change happens within a therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety, and genuine connection. My approach is collaborative, attachment-informed, and trauma-informed. I seek to understand not only the challenges you're experiencing today, but also the relationships, experiences, and patterns that may be shaping how you see yourself and move through the world.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with are looking to better understand themselves, make sense of longstanding patterns, or find new ways of responding to challenges that continue to affect their lives and relationships.

I bring 13 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. I am trained in EMDR and Schema Therapy and draw from approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT to help clients build emotional regulation skills, navigate difficult relationships, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

My experience includes working with complex trauma, attachment and relational concerns, and perinatal challenges such as infertility and pregnancy loss. I also welcome conversations about the ways faith and spirituality intersect with mental health, identity, and personal growth.

Schema Therapy helps us recognize longstanding beliefs, emotional patterns, and ways of relating that may have developed through earlier experiences. EMDR helps process distressing experiences that continue to influence how we feel and respond in the present. Both approaches can help us better understand what lies beneath current struggles and work toward lasting change.

My hope is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, feel more connected in your relationships, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
